We are Apps Wing, a publishing company delivering apps for mobile devices. 1.1 – Precise Location:

1.2 – Contacts Data:

We may request access to your device’s “Contacts” data to enhance the user experience, allowing for contact-based sharing in some of our apps. This data is used solely for this purpose and is not stored on our servers.

1.2.1 – Permission Request:

Upon using the contact-to-QR code generation feature in our QR Code Reader App, the app may request access to your device’s contacts. This permission is solely used for the purpose of generating QR codes based on the contact information you select. We ask for this permission to enhance your user experience by making it easy to share contact details with others in QR code format.

1.2.2 – No Sharing with Third Parties:

We want to emphasize that we do not use or share your contacts’ data with any third party, under any circumstances. Your contacts’ information remains secure within the app.

1.2.3 – Transparency and Control:

We value your privacy, and your trust is essential to us. We are committed to being transparent about our data usage. You have full control over this permission. You can choose to grant or deny access to your contacts when prompted by the app. If you decide not to grant access, you can still use our apps for other features.

1.1 – SCOPE OF PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy explains the nature, purpose, and scope of the collection and processing of personal data for the following applications.

1.2 – SCOPE OF DATA PROCESSING:

We collect and use the personal information of our users to the extent necessary to provide high-quality applications and to perform our services.

In cases where we make our services available free of charge, we finance our services through personalized advertising.

1.3 – LEGAL BASIS:

When processing personal data that is required to fulfill a contract with the user, point (b) of paragraph 1 of article 6 of the GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If the processing is necessary to account for the legitimate interests of our company or a third party and if these interests are not overridden by the interests of the user, the legal basis is provided by point (f) of paragraph 1 of article 6 of the GDPR.

1.4 – RETENTION PERIOD:

The personal data of the user will be deleted as soon as the underlying purpose for the collection has been fulfilled. The information on the retention period is given individually for each data processing operation.

2.1 – Right to Request Access:

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data that we have collected. We may accept or reject requests based on the nature of the query. To request deletion, please contact our DPO.

2.4 – Opt-Out Instructions:

(i)Targeted Advertising: You can opt out of targeted advertising in our app by adjusting your device’s ad tracking settings. By doing this you can not be able to turn off your ads. It just disables personalized ads for you which is only possible when you give consent to use your usage data for advertisement purposes.

When your info isn’t used for ads, you may see fewer ads for products and brands that interest you. This setting affects the ads you see and ads may seem less relevant. Your ads won’t be personalized on Google sites and apps, nor on sites and apps that partner with Google.

(ii)Sale of Personal Data:We do not sell your personal data to third parties, so there is no need to opt out of data sales.

(iii)Profiling with Legal Consequences:Our app does not engage in profiling with legal consequences.

2.5 – Right to Lodge a Complaint:

If you believe your data privacy rights have been violated or have concerns about data handling, you can lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction. We are committed to addressing and cooperating with supervisory authorities.

2.6.1 – CCPA Compliance:

Our apps complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have the right to know whether your personal data is shared with third parties. We do not sell your personal data, and therefore, you do not need to provide permission to opt out of data sales.

2.6.2 – VCDPA Compliance:

For users in Virginia, our apps complies with the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA). Information about your rights under this law is provided in our privacy policy.

2.6.3 – LGPD Compliance:

We are committed to complying with Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteo de Dados (LGPD) General Personal Data Protection Act and other relevant privacy regulations. Data Sharing

3.1 – Data Sharing Practices:

Our apps may share data with third-party services and advertising networks to provide targeted ads and enhance user engagement. The shared data may include device information, location data, and user interactions. These data types are shared with specific endpoints managed by our advertising partners. Control data-sharing preferences in our app’s privacy settings.

3.2 – Sharing via Endpoint URL:

At Apps Wing, we prioritize user privacy and are committed to transparently communicating our data practices. We may collaborate with third-party advertisers to enhance your app experience through personalized advertisements. In this process, certain data, such as user behavior and preferences, may be shared with these advertisers through endpoint links. It is important to note that any data shared is anonymized and aggregated to protect your individual identity. Our collaboration with third-party advertisers is aimed at delivering more relevant content to you. We adhere to stringent security measures to safeguard your data during transmission. 3.3 – Extra Permissions for SDK Usage:

In some cases, our apps may request extra permissions due to the use of third-party software development kits (SDKs). These permissions are requested to enable specific app functionalities but do not involve the collection or use of your personal information. We prioritize your data privacy and request only necessary permissions.

Third Party Services

Our apps utilises third-party services that may collect information to identify you. Below is a list of these third-party service providers and links to their respective privacy policies for further information:

DATA PROCESSING OPERATIONS

2.1 – FIREBASE HOSTING:

Our apps use content from and link to websites hosted with Firebase Hosting, a service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). Hereby user data is sent to the Firebase Hosting servers including IP addresses and user agent information. Firebase Hosting uses IP addresses of incoming requests to detect abuse and provide us with a detailed analysis of usage data. The IP addresses are temporarily stored by Firebase hosting for several months. For more information see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy/.

2.2 – GOOGLE ADSENSE:

We use Google AdSense and show personalized ads within our apps to finance our development where apps are provided free of charge. Google AdSense stores user data including IP address and other personal data which can be used to identify the user’s browser for the purpose of billing advertisers for ad clicks and detecting fraudulent clicks. 2.3 – GOOGLE ANALYTICS FOR FIREBASE:

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn more about how our users interact with our apps. This helps us to improve our apps in areas where they are most relevant to our users. Anonymous data about how users behave is automatically sent to Google Analytics for Firebase servers. Such data includes Mobile ad IDs, IDFVs/Android IDs, Instance IDs, Analytics App Instance IDs, and the type (EAN, UPC, QR, ..) of scanned barcodes. For more information see Data Collection. Sent data DOES NOT include the content of the scanned barcode or any other personal information such as name, email address, or phone number. The ID-associated data will be stored for 60 days. Aggregated reporting and campaign data will be stored for up to 14 months. The collection of data can be deactivated in the settings of our barcode scanner apps by unchecking “Usage statistic”.

2.4 – FIREBASE REMOTE CONFIG:

We use individual app configurations for our users with the aid of Firebase Remote Config, for example, to show country-specific website links. Firebase Remote Config uses Instance IDs to select configuration values to return to end-user devices. These Instance IDs will be stored for up to 180 days.

2.5 – CRASHLYTICS:

We use “Crashlytics” from Google. Crashlytics identifies software errors and their causes. Crashlytics collects the following data: device state information, device type, and device ID and stores it anonymously for up to 3 years. The purpose of the data collection is the identification of software errors and their causes. 2.6 – LINKS TO WEBSITES:

When scanning product barcodes with the EAN or UPC format our barcode scanner apps may show links to external websites which can be used to obtain product and price information related to the scanned barcodes. When following these links, the barcode number and the user’s IP address and browser/device information will be transmitted to and may be stored by the respective websites. In the case where these websites offer an interface (API) to retrieve product and price information, this data is also transmitted when users do not follow these links. This allows users to see relevant product and pricing information without leaving our apps. This automatic retrieval of product and price information can be turned off in the app settings. In addition, we participate in affiliate programs offered by some websites we link to. In these cases, the links will contain a marker tag indicating that the user is from our app. The websites offering the affiliates will pay us a commission if the users purchase products on the linked website. Users do not pay a higher price when using affiliate links.

2.7 – EMAIL CONTACT:

Users may send us an email at support@appswingstudio.com Personal data transmitted by email will be stored. In this context, data will not be disclosed to third parties. The data is used exclusively for processing the conversation. The data will be deleted, if the purpose of its collection has been fulfilled. This is the case when the conversation with the user has come to an end or it can be seen from the conversation that the subject has been clarified.

Children’s Policy:

These Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We, do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will promptly delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions. Parents must exercise their privacy rights for their children as provided in this Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy Updates:

We want to inform our valued users that our privacy policy has been recently updated. Your privacy and data security are of utmost importance to us, and these updates are designed to further enhance the protection of your personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in accordance with this section for reasons such as changes in laws, industry standards, and business practices. We will post updates to this page and update the “Last updated” date bellow.
